Instructions for use:
Preheat your oven on your grill setting to 240c
Gently remove the dough from the bag (without over stretching or pulling apart). Dust the surface of the dough with the flour and press the dough, flattening using your hand until you have a round even shape with a lip around the edge.
Pick the dough up and stretch it out holding the ‘rim’ between your thumb & forefingers, rotating as you go to maintain a round shape.
Place the dough on the surface so it catches a little flour on the bottom then place into the lightly oiled, hot frying pan for a few minutes until the base is golden and crisp (lift to check) this replicates the ‘pizza stone.’
As the base cooks, Spread 3-4 tbsp of the tomato passata evenly over the base in a circular motion with base of the spoon.
Then sprinkle over the mozzarella and toppings/seasonings.
Transfer frying pan to oven/grill and cook for a few minutes until the toppings are melted & golden (keep an eye on it). If you have a plastic handle on your frying pan either transfer pizza to preheated baking tray or leave door open with handle sticking out & pizza under grill.
BE VERY CAREFUL OF THE HOT HANDLE.
Each kit comes with all of the ingredients you need to make 2 ten inch pizzas; dough, flour (from Maud Foster Windmill, Boston), our tomato passata and cubed Italian mozzarella plus toppings as ordered.
Enjoy your piping hot pizza
And even better, tell all of your friends!
